Development of mobile solutions is IP SQUARE's second area of business. It is being merchandised as mobility now.

At the beginning of 2004 it was outsourced into its own department that specializes only in such mobile solutions.

Last but not least this was also triggered by the intense partnership with Mobilkom Austria.

The best known mobile solution is the Handyfahrschein. It is a mobile ticketing solution for the public transportation of passengers in Austria. It is possible to buy such a ticket for the local transport in Vienna (Wiener Linien), the mid-range transport for the surrounding area of Vienna (VOR) and also the intercity transport in Austria  (ÖBB).
Furthermore it can be orderd by using SMS, the Mobilkom Austria WAP Portal or a NFC enabled mobile phone.

However, to be able to cover a much broader area the portfolio of mobile solutions has been widened by many more ready to use applications.
